Rodd Sim is a US DJ and producer working across progressive house, melodic house & techno, and darker late-night club music. His catalogue balances atmosphere with drive: melody-forward when it needs to be, but always built with enough weight and tension to hold a room. While recent public releases often arrive alongside Nytefix, the solo identity remains clear in the pacing, mood and club-first instinct that run through his work.
That solo thread goes back to the Godmaker period on Auricle/ORCA, including the 2016 Godmaker EP, the later GodMaker – Single, and the wider remix orbit around the record, including Chris Fortier versions that helped give the project extra reach. Those releases established the tougher edge of Rodd Sim’s sound: hypnotic grooves, brooding synth pressure and a patient sense of build rather than quick-drop theatrics.
Rodd Sim lands on Compatible Music Radio for his first solo CMR guest mix on CMR215 after earlier appearances as one half of Nytefix & Sim on CMR149, CMR160, CMR167 and CMR172. The latest session runs 1 hour 15 minutes and stays locked into melodic techno and progressive territory from start to finish, right through a late stretch featuring a Rodd Sim ID and Quivver’s remix of Miro’s “Paradise.”
